1. Introduction

Welcome to Skintoria, Nigeria's clean beauty marketplace dedicated to toxin-free skincare, cruelty-free products, and sustainable cosmetics. By accessing or using our website at www.skintoria.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our platform.

2. About Skintoria

Skintoria is a curated online marketplace ("Platform") that connects consumers with verified clean beauty brands. We vet every product against our Clean Essentials Guide to ensure compliance with our standards for vegan, cruelty-free, and transparent ingredient labeling. Skintoria operates as an intermediary marketplace; individual vendors are responsible for their products.

3. Eligibility

To use our Platform, you must:

1. Be at least 18 years of age or have parental/guardian consent.
2. Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
3. Maintain the security of your account credentials.
4. Reside in a region where our services are available.
5. Not use the Platform for any unlawful or prohibited purpose.

4. Account Registration

When you create an account on Skintoria, you agree to provide truthful information and to keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Skintoria reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent behavior.

5. Marketplace & Vendor Relationships

Skintoria operates as a multi-vendor marketplace. Individual sellers ('Vendors') list and fulfill

products independently. By purchasing on Skintoria:

1. You acknowledge that each sale is a transaction between you and the Vendor.
2. Skintoria is not the seller of record and does not hold inventory.
3. We vet Vendors and their products against our Clean Standards but cannot guarantee every product claim.
4. Vendors must comply with all applicable Nigerian and international consumer protection laws.

6. Clean Standards & Product Listings

All products listed on Skintoria are required to meet our Clean Essentials Guide standards, including being vegan, cruelty-free, and offering full ingredient transparency. However, Skintoria makes no warranty as to the accuracy of third-party product claims. Users are encouraged to use our Ingredient Checker tool to verify formulations.

7. Purchasing & Payments

All transactions on Skintoria are processed in Nigerian Naira (₦). By placing an order, you agree to pay the listed price plus any applicable shipping charges. We accept major debit/credit cards and other payment methods displayed at checkout. Skintoria uses secure, encrypted payment gateways and does not store full card details.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Skintoria Platform, including logos, graphics, text, and the Clean Essentials Guide, is the intellectual property of Skintoria or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content without prior written permission. The Skintoria brand name and logo are registered trademarks.

9. Prohibited Activities

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 General Limitation

1. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Skintoria shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform or products purchased therein. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant transaction.
2. 10.2 Cosmetic Purpose Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: All products available on the Skintoria Platform are intended solely for external cosmetic use. No product listed on this Platform is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, manage, or prevent any medical condition, skin disease, or health disorder.

By purchasing and using any product on Skintoria, you acknowledge and agree that:

1. All skincare, body care, hair care, and fragrance products on this Platform are cosmetic products designed for aesthetic and personal care purposes only.
2. Product descriptions, ingredient highlights, and marketing claims (such as 'brightening', 'nourishing', 'soothing', or 'clarifying') refer to cosmetic benefits and do not constitute medical claims.
3. Skintoria does not represent, warrant, or imply that any product can treat, diagnose, manage, or cure any skin condition (including but not limited to acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, or hyperpigmentation disorders), medical condition, or any other health-related concern.
4. If you have a diagnosed skin condition, allergy, sensitivity, or any underlying medical concern, you should consult a qualified dermatologist or medical professional before purchasing or using any product available on this Platform.
5. Skintoria shall bear no liability for any adverse reaction, skin sensitivity, or health outcome arising from the use of any product, whether or not such product has passed our Clean Standards vetting process.
6. The Ingredient Checker tool provided on this Platform is an informational resource only and does not constitute medical or dermatological advice.
7. 10.3 Third-Party Product Claims

Individual Vendors are solely responsible for the accuracy of product descriptions and any claims made on their listings. Skintoria does not independently verify therapeutic or clinical efficacy claims made by Vendors. Any such claims are the Vendor's responsibility and do not represent the position of Skintoria.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.

12. Changes to Terms

Skintoria reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or a prominent notice on our website. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
